At Digitech Buderim we offer a variety of services designed to isolate and correct any computer issues, and optimise the performance of any computer system.

We are so used to relying on our computers these days, it is painful when a computer crashes and we lose those all important files, contacts or pictures. It can be very inconvenient to lose important emails or contacts, important documents and perhaps most distressing all our photographs of family and friends. In many cases such an occurrence is caused by software problems or lack of regular maintenance.

At Digitech Buderim, we offer services that can help prevent serious software errors and keep your computer operating correctly.

Our diagnostic service is the starting point for any computer repair we undertake. The diagnostics pinpoint any problem hardware and software that may be present, including faulty memory, harddrive, videocard, motherboard or peripherals, software corruption, virus and malware infections.

Computer Health Check and Tune-up

Regular computer health checks will give you the heads up if any problems may occur while you still have time to secure your data before disaster strikes. It can also save you money in the long run by correcting faults at an early stage.

A computer health check is an inexpensive service that provides a professional hardware diagnostic check, a system stability check and a virus and malware check and will let you know if your computer is showing signs of trouble.

A tune-up will identify any problem areas with your Windows operating system and in most cases fix the problem, in addition it will carry out processes that will enhance the performance of your computer.

A system tune-up will repair and replace all critical Windows system files needed to run and restart correctly without harming your user data. Our tune-up services will also restore compromised system settings and registry values to their default Microsoft settings. You may always return your computer to its pre-repair condition if you so desire.

What it does not fix?

A tune-up does not repair or replace files that belong to 3rd party programs. 3rd party programs are programs that are not included or provided by with the Windows operating system. Examples of such programs are Microsoft Office, Skype, Adobe, I-Tunes,

However, in some instances after a tune-up is completed, 3rd party programs that share Windows operating system files will be restored to working order as well.

A computer tune-up is not a virus removal service, nor does it repair compromised or damaged Anti-virus software. A tune-up is regarded as a complementary solution to a virus removal, repairing the damage already left behind by the malware after it has been isolated or removed by experienced technicians and specialised software. A tune-up also does not offer pre-emptive protection against malware beyond standard Microsoft security updates. We recommend that you install and constantly update a reliable Anti-virus program on your PC.

A tune-up will also not resolve any hardware faults that a computer system may experience.

Virus and Malware removal

Many computer systems may have viruses on them without the owners realising it, leaving them open to fraud and identity theft. Even those customers who have purchased internet security software run the risk of damaged files. This is because once your computer has been infected with a virus it is no longer the same. After removing it with your anti-virus software you are often left with lingering side-effects. Technically your computer may no longer be infected but that doesn't mean it is error free. Even simply removing a virus can actually harm your system.

At Digitech Buderim we use up-to-date tools and methods to combat virus and malware infections and repair any problems caused by malicious or fraudulent software.

Hardware Repair

In the event that there is a hardware fault with a computer system, Digitech Buderim can organise replacement parts for a wide variety of computer systems including laptops and touchscreens.

It is wise to back up important data on to an external drive in case your computer crashes and the data on it cannot be recovered.

Digitech Buderim can provide you with the technology and information required to keep your personal or business files safe and secure.

Some common symptoms of hardware or software problems are outlined below;

Windows Errors

A Windows error describes what happens when an unexpected condition occurs or when a desired operation has failed. When you have a Windows error it could be critical and cause your computer to crash or it may be harmless yet annoying.

BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)

A stop error screen commonly called the blue screen of death is caused by a fatal system error displayed by the Windows operating family of operating systems when it encounters a critical error of a non-recoverable nature that causes a computer system to crash.

“Freezing” or “Hanging”

This is when a computer system becomes unresponsive and will no longer accept input from the user and can be caused by various hardware failures or file corruption.

No Internet connectivity or slow network speed

If an internet connection suddenly stops working or slows down for an unknown reason, it may be an issue with the computer system itself or the network hardware that you use for internet access.
Viruses and Malware commonly affect Internet access as they spread within a computer system.
